Mike Phethean

Mike Phethean has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being a Senior Project Manager at Meridian Energy starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Mercury NZ where they held two positions, including Manager - Generation Projects from June 2021 to October 2022 and Project Manager from February 2018 to May 2021. Before joining Mercury NZ, Mike worked at Transpower New Zealand for over a decade in various roles, such as Project Manager - Investigations from April 2017 to January 2018, Engineering Team Leader - Power System Tools from October 2014 to April 2017, and Senior Investigations Engineer from April 2009 to September 2014. Mike began their career at Transpower NZ as a Security Coordinator from March 2003 to April 2009.

Mike Phethean attended the University of Cambridge from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Engineering.
