Opportunity

You’ll be a change facilitator & enjoy driving through actions with our customers. You naturally step into, not away from, the challenge of navigating complex environments & situations. 

You will work with a team of data engineers, data scientists, data analysts, consultants and other specialists to navigate through uncertainty and develop data products that create measurable value.

Data is an exciting and emergent area for product practitioners and this is an opportunity to contribute to a globally growing discipline within a leading organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the current state of product, data, processes and tooling for our clients. Defining and creating strategies and roadmaps, working alongside a cross-functional Mesh team of technologists and specialists.
  • Take an evidence-based approach leveraging research, interviews, workshops and other techniques to define a product vision and strategy.
  • Using commonly accepted prioritisation techniques, including factoring complexity and risks, you’ll guide our Clients to achieve the greatest value and outcomes for their business and customers.
  • Work across the entire product development lifecycle (PDLC) from discovering problems, setting Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), defining and delivering modern data products, AI enabled workflows, and integrated user experiences, to solve customer and business problems..
  • Bridge the gap between business, customer and technology, continuously developing your understanding across effective and contemporary approaches to innovation, strategy, discovery, lean thinking, agile delivery, software development and technical practices.
  • Provide expertise in the process of product development and discovery, how to identify and mitigate risk, and to understand customer and user needs, and how to track metrics and measure outcomes.
  • Lead collaborative workshops that generate, refine and prioritise ideas, encourage contribution and involvement from a range of participants.
  • Be an active member and contributor in the Mesh-AI Product Practice and help champion Product, with opportunities for internal and external thought leadership/blogs/Meetups and similar.

Requirements 

  • Previous experience in complex & highly regulated enterprise organisations (FS&I or Energy & Utilities an advantage) and delivered a range of different product self services from concept through to live.
  • Able to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty, and create and define plans and map a path-forward. Demonstrable application of industry standard frameworks, methodologies, and approaches in a range of situations and environments.
  • Capable of operating at senior leadership level within client organisations; experience working with C-suite executives is a plus.
  • Extensive experience of Product Management; working with a software or data intensive domain/s, and across the product life cycle is essential.
  • Familiar with modern technologies with sufficient technical understanding.
  • Experience in Data, AI and platforms is advantageous.
  • Exposure to broader organisational concerns including typical enterprise challenges and approaches to solving them 
  • A problem solver with an ability to work from first principles.
  • Manage & navigate complex stakeholders; exceptional ‘conflict’ resolution, handle difficult conversations, and able to influence without authority.
  • Consulting background desirable or able to demonstrate strong consulting skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
