Emer Carroll

Emer Carroll currently serves as Manager of Legal & Regulatory Escalations at Meta since November 2019. Carroll's prior experience includes roles at Bank of Ireland from November 2010 to March 2018, where responsibilities included serving as a Risk Officer in the Group Regulatory, Compliance, and Operational Risk Team, with a focus on operational risk, anti-money laundering, counter-financing of terrorism, and sanctions. Additionally, Carroll held the position of Risk Officer for The Resources Business, providing risk and compliance oversight with an emphasis on data protection and information security. From March 2018 to November 2019, Carroll worked on Community Risk Assessments at Facebook. Educational qualifications include a BA Honours in Sociology and Greek & Roman Civilization from UCD, a Professional Diploma in Compliance from the Institute of Bankers, and a CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice from the Institute of Technology, Tallaght.
