James Tang

James (Yuxing) Tang is an accomplished researcher and quantitative analyst with a strong background in machine learning and applied physics. With experience as a Senior Research Scientist at Meta's Ads Ranking Core ML team, James established and executed a two-year strategy focusing on real-time signal learning. Prior to this, James worked at Wells Fargo as a Quantitative Associate and at First Quadrant as a Quantitative Research Analyst. James also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Cornell University, where modeling and studying nonlinear fiber optics and mode-locked fiber lasers were key responsibilities. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Peking University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Physics from Cornell University.
