Nydia Counts

Nydia Counts has extensive experience in leadership development and education. At Teach For America from June 2015 to May 2016, Nydia served as Senior Managing Director of Teacher Leadership Development, focusing on the vision and preparation of Houston corps members. Previous roles at Teach For America included Chief of Staff to the Western Regional Field Executive, Manager of Teacher Leadership Development, and Managing Director of Teacher Leadership Development, where responsibilities included supporting a significant number of teachers and developing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs. Nydia began a professional career as a teacher and was a Corps Member in 2008. At Meta from March 2025 to September 2022, Nydia held roles such as Learning and Development Partner and Program Manager for Leadership Experiences. Nydia's educational background includes a Master's degree in Cultural Studies in Education from The University of Texas at Austin, an Executive Coaching and Organizational Leadership certification from Rice University, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Social Science from Florida State University.
