Sang Phan

Software Engineer

Sang Phan has extensive experience in software engineering and research, with a focus on cybersecurity and software testing. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley, Sang contributed to DARPA-funded projects on code analysis. Following this, Sang held positions at Fujitsu Laboratories of America and Synopsys Inc, where contributions included combining concolic execution with greybox fuzzing and developing static analysis checkers for web application security. At WhatsApp, Sang worked on authentication services and encryption, applying static and dynamic taint analysis. Currently, Sang serves as a Software Engineer at Meta, focusing on generative AI, while previous experience includes project management in developing car navigation systems at FPT Software and conducting security threat diagnostics for unmanned aerial vehicles at NASA Ames Research Center.
