Sung Kim

Sung Kim is a highly skilled researcher and engineer with extensive experience in hardware and software development across various prestigious companies and research institutions. Early career experience includes roles as an Engineering Intern at Innovatek, Inc. and Electro Scientific Industries, focusing on hydrogen fuel cell development and FPGA design, respectively. Sung Kim further advanced expertise through internships at NVIDIA and Intel Labs, specializing in VLSI EDA and wireless networking. As a Master's and Ph.D. student at the University of Washington and the University of Michigan, significant contributions were made in hardware-algorithm co-design for machine learning ASICs and manycore processor architecture. Currently, Sung Kim serves as a Research Scientist at Meta, concentrating on architecture, modeling, and optimization for glasses devices and custom silicon. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.
