Paul Buck

Paul Buck has a diverse work experience in the transit industry. Paul currently works as a Senior Project Lead - Transit Procurement at Metrolinx since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of Transit Operations at The City of Belleville from November 2017 to October 2022. Paul also had a brief role as a Transit Operations staff member in September 2017. Before that, they worked as a Supervisor, Scheduling at Durham Region Transit from December 2016 to June 2017. Paul also worked as a Manager at Coach Canada - Trentway-Wagar from May 2011 to November 2016. Paul held the position of Senior Operations Supervisor - Transit at the City of Brampton from January 2008 to January 2011. Additionally, they served as an Operations Supervisor at Veolia Transportation in 2011. Paul's earlier experience includes working as an Operations Supervisor at the City of Peterborough, Peterborough Transit from October 2000 to January 2008, and as a CIT Day Manager at Loomis Armoured Car from 1998 to 2008.

Paul Buck has a diverse education history. Paul has pursued various programs and courses at different institutions. From 1989 to 1992, they attended Fleming College, where they studied Business Administration. Subsequently, from 1991 to 1994, they enrolled at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology to pursue a degree in Fire Protection & Safety Technician. In recent years, Paul has focused on continuing education at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. Paul participated in several courses, including Understanding and Managing Conflict, Managing People Essentials, DNA of Top Performers, Critical Thinking: Advanced, Critical Thinking Essentials, and Conflict Management Skills, all completed in 2021 and 2022. Additionally, Paul completed the Municipal Accounting and Finance Program at AMCTO in 2021, the Municipal Administration Program at AMCTO in 2020, and attended courses on Electric Buses at CUTA - UTIP - APTA in 2019. Paul also pursued studies in Public Transit Modelling and Public Transit Planning and ITS at the University of Toronto Transportation Research Institute in 2018. In the future, Paul plans to complete a Certification in Leadership Essentials in 2023 and a course on The DNA of Highly Effective Teams at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in the same year. Paul Buck's education demonstrates their continuous dedication to learning and professional development. Paul has also obtained certification in Managing Projects with Microsoft Teams from LinkedIn in 2023.
