Richard Buxo

Richard Buxo, PMP, has a diverse work experience in procurement and project management. Richard currently works at Metrolinx as the Director of Procurement Capital Projects, where they are involved in building a transportation network in Ontario, Canada. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Procurement, Contracting Services at ENGIE North America Inc. and Director of Procurement at ENGIE MultiTech Ltd. In these roles, they oversaw strategic procurement, contract negotiations, and operational procurement.

Before their time at ENGIE, Richard served as the Strategic Procurement Director at Mammoet, where they led an Americas region procurement team and achieved significant cost savings. Richard also worked as the Commercial Director at Peterson Integrated Logistics & Buxo Trinidad & Tobago, managing project management, logistics, procurement, and labor contracting in the oil and gas industry.

Earlier in their career, Richard held leadership positions at WorleyParsons, including Vice President of Operations & Business Services, North America East, and Director of Procurement & Materials Management. Richard played a crucial role in developing a centralized procurement group and managing billion-dollar capital projects.

Richard's work experience began at SNC Lavalin Inc., where they held the role of Manager, Materials Management. Overall, their career spans various industries and showcases their expertise in procurement, project management, and strategic leadership.

Richard Buxo, PMP is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. Richard has previously completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Western University. Additionally, Richard has attained the Project Management Professional certification from PMI.
