Gareth Copland is an experienced operations professional with a diverse background in the energy and service sectors. Currently serving as Operations Director at Metropolitan since September 2024, Gareth previously held multiple roles at Insite Energy from June 2018 to September 2024, including Group Operations Director and Client Services Director, focusing on excellence in client and customer service within the heat networks space. Prior to this, Gareth was the Global Operational Launch Manager at Hive | Centrica Connected Home, managing global operations development and supporting international business expansion from November 2015 to June 2018. Earlier career experiences include positions at British Gas from June 2004 to November 2015, where Gareth advanced from Technical Engineer to Regional Operations Manager, overseeing service delivery to over 50,000 residential homes. Gareth's military background includes serving as a Bomb Disposal Engineer and Combat Engineer in the British Army Corps of Royal Engineers from April 1998 to May 2004.
