Bob Staak

Personnel Scout at Miami Heat

Bob Staak is a scout for the Miami Heat. Prior to their current position, they worked as pro personnel/college scout for the Orlando Magic NBA Team from January 2005 to July 2012. Bob also served as a scout for the Boston Celtics from January 2004 to December 2005 and as a referee observer for the National Basketball Association from January 2003 to December 2005. From January 2000 to December 2002, Bob Staak was the assistant basketball coach for the Vancouver/Memphis Grizzlies. Bob was also the assistant basketball coach for the Golden State Warriors from January 1997 to December 2000 and for the Washington Bullets from January 1994 to December 1997. Bob's first coaching position was with the Los Angeles Clippers, where they were an assistant coach from January 1989 to December 1990. Bob Staak began their coaching career as the head basketball coach at Wake Forest University from January 1985 to December 1989.

Bob Staak has a B.S. in Education from the University of Connecticut and a degree in Business Administration from St. John's University.
