Stacy Attar

Stacy Attar has a diverse work experience in the education field. Stacy started their career in 1990 as a Special Education Teacher at Worcester County Public Schools and worked there until 1995. Stacy then joined Baltimore County Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher and Department Chair from 1995 to 2003. From 2003 to 2012, Stacy worked as a School Counselor and Department Chair at the same school district. Additionally, they worked as an Online Course Instructor at Casnex through Baltimore County Public Schools from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, Stacy joined Michigan City Area Schools and held various roles including Special Education Teacher from 2012 to 2016, Assistant Director of Special Education from 2016 to 2018, and Director of Special Education since 2018.

Stacy Attar has a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Purdue University, which they obtained from 1985 to 1990. Stacy later pursued a Master's degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Gallaudet University, completing it from 1995 to 1998. In 2015 to 2016, they attended Western Governors University and earned a degree in Educational Leadership. Finally, in 2018 to 2019, Stacy worked as the Director of Special Education at Arkansas State University.
