Ethan Thibault is a PhD candidate in Plant Biology and Molecular Plant Sciences at Michigan State University, also pursuing a Certification in Community Engagement. Research is conducted in the Brandizzi lab at the MSU-DOE Plant Research Labs, focusing on proteostasis in the early secretory pathway. Additionally, Ethan has served as a Molecular Laboratory Technician at the University of Vermont, specializing in ancient DNA extraction and sequencing, and as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the University of Vermont, supporting various molecular research projects. Previous roles include summer research internships at the Noble Research Institute and Boyce Thompson Institute, and hands-on laboratory responsibilities at the University of Maine and South Dakota State University. Ethan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Molecular Biology and Food Systems from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of Maine, following an academic foundation established at Colchester High School.
