Heather Murphy

Heather Murphy possesses extensive experience in education, specializing in English Language Arts and Social Studies. Since January 2015, Heather has served as a Lead Instructor at Michigan Virtual, where responsibilities include content delivery, student assessment, and performance monitoring. Previous roles span from teaching 7th Grade English Language Arts at Tomlinson Middle School to various leadership positions at Westwood Cyber High School, including Interim Director and Instructional Coach. Heather has contributed to curriculum development, staff training, and student support systems throughout a career that began with an English teaching role at The Academy for Business and Technology in 1998. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in K-12 Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Michigan.
