Mauricio Braia is a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Michroma, a startup focused on developing a biotech platform for sustainable production of natural ingredients using CRISPR technology. Braia has extensive academic experience, serving as an associate professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina and Universidad Nacional de Rosario, where responsibilities included teaching biological chemistry, environmental microbiology, and biotechnological processes. As a senior research associate at Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas, Braia led multiple research projects and published several scientific papers. Previous roles include a staff researcher at KECLON, specializing in industrial enzyme production. Braia holds a PhD in Biology from Universidad Nacional de Rosario and has participated in research at Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
