Andrew Holmes

Andrew Holmes has a background in Genetics, holding a BSc from the University of York and a PhD in Genome Sciences/Genomics from the University of Liverpool. Andrew worked as a Junior Bioinformatician at MicrobesNG from February 2020 to the present, and previously held the title of Data Manager at the University of Bristol from 2016 to 2019, where Andrew was responsible for data cleaning and migration. Andrew also volunteered as the British correspondent for the Gerontology Research Group from 2008 to 2019, verifying the ages of supercentenarians. During their time at the University of Liverpool from 2009 to 2015, Andrew conducted DNA isolation and genome sequencing of the naked mole rat as a PhD student.
