Danwei Chen

Danwei Chen is a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft, focusing on New Technologies within Energy Strategy & Partnerships since September 2018. Responsibilities include managing investments from Microsoft's $1 billion Climate Innovation Fund, aimed at accelerating climate technologies through various funding approaches. Prior roles at Microsoft include Senior Manager of Impact Investments and Manager of Impact Investments, alongside participation in a Finance Rotation Program that included stints in Treasury and Global Sales, Marketing, & Operations in Paris. Danwei Chen gained early experience at UCLA Anderson School of Management as a Student Assistant for the Laurence and Lori Fink Center for Finance & Investments and served as a Summer Analyst at PAAMCO Prisma, specializing in structured credit market research. Currently a degree candidate for a Master of Science in Sustainability Management at Columbia University, Danwei Chen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from UCLA and studied Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development at The London School of Economics.
