Sr. Commercial Finance Manager – Channels, Studios, Gaming & Emerging Media at Middle East Broadcasting Center

Sadiq Saleem has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 16 years. Sadiq began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA as an Audit Manager, where they served for five years. Following that, they joined Shell as a Finance Controller for the Central Finance division, where they provided financial leadership to the supply and distribution business for the MESA cluster.

Later, Sadiq joined SAP as the SAP Implementation Finance Lead for Shell, overseeing the implementation of SAP's global template in Pakistan and other parts of the MESA cluster. Sadiq managed a large team and ensured compliance with legal and fiscal requirements in each country.

After their tenure at SAP, Sadiq moved to Shell Chemicals - UAE as the Head of FP&A & Governance for the Chemicals division. Sadiq was responsible for developing strategic plans for the Sadaf Joint Venture and leading monthly closing activities and budgeting processes. Additionally, they served as the MESA S&D Finance Controller, managing stocks, opex, capex, and transfer pricing for the supply and distribution business in the MESA cluster.

Most recently, Sadiq worked at PepsiCo as the Sr. Finance Manager Global Procurement AMENA. Sadiq led the FP&A cycle, implemented procurement software, and ensured the successful delivery of projects by deployment partners.

Currently, Sadiq is working at the Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC) as the Commercial Finance Manager for Channels, Studios, Gaming & Emerging Media. Sadiq is responsible for leading the financial reporting and budgeting function for multiple MBC entities and emerging media businesses.

Sadiq Saleem began their education in 2000 at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, where they pursued a Chartered Accountant degree. During their time there, they focused on subjects such as Accounting, Auditing, Budgeting, Taxation, and Financial Management, completing their studies in 2007. In 2005, Sadiq attended the Institute of Business Administration for a year to obtain a degree in Human Resource Management. Sadiq'sstudies in this field included HR, Employee Relations, and Organizational Behavior. Before their time at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Sadiq also pursued a Master's degree in Economics at Karachi University, which they completed in 2004. Furthermore, Sadiq has obtained a certification as a Lean Six Sigma Certified Trainer from Accenture, specifically in SAP - HC.
