Peter Peumans

Peter Peumans has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Peter started their career as a student at KU Leuven from 1993 to 1998. Following that, they worked as a Graduate Researcher at Princeton University from 1998 to 2003. Peter then moved to Stanford University, where they served as an Assistant Professor from 2004 to 2011. In 2011, they joined imec as a Program Director until 2016. From 2016 to 2020, they held the position of SVP Life Science Technologies at imec. In 2020, they became the CTO of Health Technologies at imec. In 2019, they also briefly worked at miDiagnostics as their CTO from September 2019 to April 2020. Overall, Peter Peumans has gained experience in various roles, focusing on health technologies and life science technologies.

Peter Peumans received their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University in 2003. Prior to that, they earned their M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven in 1998. Peter's academic journey began at Heilig-Hart College Tervuren, where they studied Mathematics from 1987 to 1993.
