Addison Crawford

Addison Crawford has extensive work experience in the legal and compliance field. Starting in 1995 as an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, their roles included specializing in corporate finance and commercial banking, drafting and negotiating various financial documents. In 2000, Crawford moved to Citigroup as the Head of Regulatory Compliance, managing a team responsible for regulatory tracking, policy development, and training. Following this, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Regulatory Fundamentals Group, assisting in the creation of a consulting firm focused on bank compliance programs.

Starting in 2010, Crawford joined UBS as the Head of Research Compliance, responsible for compliance coverage in the US, Canada, and Latin America. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at CIGNA as the Compliance Director, overseeing the Ethics Program and designing and implementing compliance programs across US businesses.

In 2015, Crawford joined Encore Capital Group as the Compliance Director, and later became the Vice President and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Midland Credit Management, an Encore Capital Group Company. Their responsibilities included establishing risk and compliance strategies, focusing on risk assessment, regulatory implementation, and enhancing the consumer experience.

In 2019, Crawford was promoted to the role of Managing Vice President and General Counsel at Midland Credit Management, responsible for all legal affairs including corporate litigation, legal compliance, and bankruptcy legal support. They also oversaw vendor oversight, transactional, and business licensing matters.

Addison Crawford began their education in 1985 at Lewis & Clark College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Anthropology. They completed their undergraduate studies in 1992. Following this, Addison attended Boston University School of Law from 1992 to 1995, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned regarding this phase of their education.
