John Hughes III

John "Tripp" Hughes III is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in litigation and corporate law. Currently serving as Senior Staff Counsel at Midland Credit Management since October 2018, Tripp oversees litigation across Virginia, handles legal research, negotiates settlements, and represents the company in court. Prior experience includes negotiating vendor and software contracts for MoneyGuidePro, working as an associate at Cherry, Seymour & Baronian, and serving as a contract attorney with Hire Counsel/United Lex. Tripp's law career began as a law clerk at The Conrad Firm and included roles as an intern in the University of Richmond's Athletics Compliance Office and a law clerk at the Curwood Law Firm. Tripp holds a J.D. from the University of Richmond and a B.A. in History from James Madison University.
