Jessica Edwards

Director of Program Services at Midwest Health Services

Jessica has been with MIDWEST Health Services for nearly 10 years, overseeing three Intermediate Care Facilities. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Akron. Jessica currently holds a variety of positions with MIDWEST, including Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional, Regional Director, and Compliance & Privacy Officer. She played an integral role in the creation and implementation of the FASTRAK Management Development Program, designed for Direct Support Staff who desire to further their careers in the field of intellectual disabilities. Jessica is a 2017 graduate of the OPRA ADVANCE Leadership Class and has invested a great deal of time learning to develop future leaders in the field, including improving employment retention rates and job satisfaction in todays work force.

Jessica has extensive training in the areas of Behavioral Health and Positive Behavior Interventions, Human Rights, Trauma Informed Care and Recovery, Crisis Intervention Strategies, Compassion Fatigue, and Person Centered Practices, as well as excellent working knowledge of the current Local, State and Federal Regulations that govern the Intermediate Care Facilities.

Jessica enjoys being a part of a family-owned organization whose focus is to provide services to people with disabilities in a way that positively impacts each life. Her personal belief is that this line of work is a 'calling' and those who are called to serve, doing so unconditionally, are truly a gift! There is no greater love than those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.
