Jeff Vinson has a diverse work history. Jeff started their career in 2011 as a Laborer for Budrovich Excavation Co. In 2016, they worked as a Laborer for Concrete Strategies LLC. In 2017, they held multiple roles, including Survey Crew Chief at Clayton Engineering Survey, CADD Technician/Crew Chief and Labor at Pangea Engineering & Surveying, LLC, and Warehouse Worker at Outdoor Living. In 2018, they worked as an Instrument Man at Sterling Engineering and later became a Crew Chief at Blew & Associates, P.A. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Crew Chief at American Surveying and Mapping, Inc. Most recently, since May 2022, they have been working as a Crew Chief at Millstone Weber, LLC. Additionally, they also owned and operated Dora's Spinning Wheel from 2002 to 2020.

Jeff Vinson attended Alton High School from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a diploma in general studies. During their time there, they also received training in Architectural Design at J.B. Johnson Career Development Ce. In 1985, Vinson enrolled in Ranken Technical College and successfully completed an Associate of Technology Degree in Architectural Design Drafting and Structural Technology in 1987. From 1989 to 1990, they pursued a Pre-Engineering Associates of Science Degree at Lewis and Clark College. In 1998, Vinson took courses required for the Missouri land surveying examination at St. Louis Community College, which they completed in 2001. Additionally, in 2002, they took the NCEES Fundamentals of Land Surveying Examination. In 2011, Vinson attended the 110 Labor Center for Asbestos Training, OSHA 10 Hr, and Traffic Control Technician certification.
