Giorgia Meschini

Giorgia Meschini has a diverse work experience in the field of research and engineering. Giorgia is currently employed as a Senior Research Scientist at MIM Software Inc. since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an External Hyperthermia Engineer at Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC) from December 2021 to May 2022. Giorgia also served as a Technical and Clinical Researcher at Medlogix from September 2021 to May 2022.

Giorgia has extensive research experience, starting as a Research Collaborator at Centro Nazionale di Adroterapia Oncologica (CNAO) from March 2015 to September 2021. Giorgia contributed to the design and implementation of an MRI-guidance study for organ motion management in carbon ion treatments. Giorgia also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD student at Politecnico di Milano from December 2016 to September 2021. Giorgia'sresearch focused on respiratory motion modeling strategies for oncological particle therapy, including the development of mathematical models for breathing motion estimation and investigating algorithms for carbon ion dose calculation and estimation in moving targets.

Additionally, Giorgia gained international experience as an Erasmus+ trainee at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München from March 2018 to August 2018. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in research, engineering, and clinical applications in the field of oncological particle therapy.

Giorgia Meschini holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Bioengineering from Politecnico di Milano, which they obtained from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano from 2013 to 2015. Giorgia'seducational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche between 2009 and 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Giorgia has obtained several certifications. Giorgia completed the "Agile Software Development" course from Coursera in May 2021. In February 2021, they finished three Coursera courses: "Deep Learning Specialization," "Sequence Models," and "Étudier en France: French Intermediate course B1-B2." In September 2020, they completed the "Create Infographics using Piktochart" course. In May 2020, they accomplished several Coursera courses, including "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Image Data Augmentation with Keras," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Project Management Principles and Practices Specialization," "Save, Load and Export Models with Keras," and "Understanding Deepfakes with Keras." Furthermore, in April 2020, they completed the "Convolutional Neural Networks in TensorFlow" course, as well as the "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning" course.
