Mark Carter

Group Leader, Stem Cell Biology at Minerva Biotechnologies

Mark Carter has a long and varied work history, beginning in 1991 when they were a Clinical Laboratory Technician and Computer Systems Manager at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Mark then moved to the National Institute on Aging in 2000, where they worked as an IRTA Post-doctoral Fellow, NIGMS Pharmacology Research and Training Fellow, and Research Fellow. In 2006, Mark joined the University of Connecticut as an Assistant Research Professor, where they worked to integrate single-cell gene expression and chromatin mapping data from pluripotent and differentiating ES cells. Finally, in 2011, they became the Group Leader of Stem Cell Biology at Minerva Biotechnologies.

Mark Carter attended Tufts University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Environmental Studies. Mark then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology at The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed in 2000.
