Maria Batsiaka

Maria Batsiaka is a mathematician currently working at the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs since November 2022. Prior to this role, Maria held several consulting positions at Deloitte, focusing on credit and market risk management modeling and validation from January to November 2022. In 2021, Maria served as the Head of Population and Buildings Census at the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT). Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at mSensis S.A. in 2019, where Maria contributed to a project involving machine learning methods and natural language processing for chatbot development. Maria is pursuing a Master of Science in Special Education at Frederick University, building on an academic foundation with degrees from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki earned from 2014 to 2021.
