Erez Avital has had a diverse range of roles and experiences throughout their work history. Erez started their career as a Software Engineer at Eternity-IT in February 2010 and worked there until July 2011. After that, they joined the Ministry of Environmental Protection, where they held multiple positions. Erez began as a SharePoint Expert from July 2011 to July 2013, then transitioned to a Full Stack Developer from July 2013 to June 2017. Following that, they became a Technology Manager from June 2017 to June 2019 and then served as the Chief Technology Officer from June 2019 to September 2021. Currently, Erez Avital holds the position of Chief Information Officer at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, starting in October 2021.
Erez Avital holds a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from the Jerusalem College of Engineering, which they received from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in software engineering at the same institution from 2005 to 2009. Their educational journey began at ORT Givat Ram, where they obtained a practical engineer degree in Electronic from 1998 to 2000.
