Elaine Abomwesigwa is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in economic analysis and policy development. Currently serving at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development since August 2013, Elaine has contributed significantly to financial planning and economic strategy. Previously, Elaine held the position of economist at the International Monetary Fund from January 2021 to May 2022, further enhancing expertise in macroeconomic policy. Elaine holds a Master's degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Makerere University, earned between 2009 and 2016.
