Gift Saka

Gift Saka is a Biomedical Engineer currently serving as an intern at the Ministry of Health Malawi since January 2023, where responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare professionals on medical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety testing. Prior to this role, Gift has been with the Rice360 Institute for Global Health Technologies since June 2021, focusing on the design and development of affordable medical devices for low-resource settings, contributing to projects such as a low-cost insulin pump and anesthesia control machine. Gift is pursuing a degree at the Malawi University of Science and Technology, with a projected graduation date in April 2024.
