Jozef Síkela

Jozef Sikela currently serves as the Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, a position held since December 2021. Prior to this role, Sikela held several key positions within Erste Group, including Advisor to the Management Board and Member of the Management Board, overseeing various divisions such as Corporate & Investment Banking and Capital Markets from January 2015 to December 2020. Leadership experience also includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of Slovenská sporiteľňa, Chief Executive Officer and CFO of Erste Bank Ukraine, and Director of the Large Corporate Division at Česká spořitelna. Early career roles spanned positions at Bank Austria Creditanstalt, CREDITANSTALT, and Creditanstalt Bankverein, focusing on risk management and commercial banking. Jozef Sikela holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Prague University of Economics and Business and completed executive training programs at Erste Group and Creditanstalt AG.
