Emily Marlow

Facilities Manager, Minnesota History Center at Minnesota Historical Society

Emily Marlow has worked as a Facilities Manager at the Minnesota Historical Society since October 2019. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Minnesota from March 2010 to September 2019. While at the University of Minnesota, they held various roles including Facilities and Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor for the Google Digitization Project, and Operations Supervisor for the Inventory Project. Emily managed teams, supervised projects, and successfully completed tasks within budget.

Emily Marlow has a diverse education history. Emily attended Ridgewater College from 2004 to 2006 and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Emily then went on to Augsburg University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women's Studies & English.

In 2016, Emily enrolled in the University of Minnesota and pursued two certificate programs simultaneously. Emily completed a Certificate in Facilities Management as well as a Certificate in Construction Management, both lasting from 2016 to 2019.

Aside from their formal education, Emily also obtained several additional certifications. In April 2019, they completed the 30-Hour OSHA Hazard Recognition Training for the Construction Industry from the American Safety Council, Inc. In February 2019, they acquired the SketchUp 2018 Essential Training certification from Lynda.com. Furthermore, Emily obtained a Power Pallet Jack Operator certification from the Minnesota Safety Council, Inc. in July 2021. Emily also became a Certified Office Ergonomics Evaluator (COEE) through Humanscale in June 2021. Finally, in May 2023, they received a Supervision Certificate from the University of Minnesota.

It is worth noting that there is a mention of a Project Management Certificate from the University of Minnesota, but no specific information regarding its completion date is provided.
