Adriana Mantilla MD, PhD

Adriana Mantilla MD, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical development, drug safety, and medical marketing. Adriana currently serves as the Medical Director at Minoryx Therapeutics since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Insud Pharma as a Clinical Development Manager from April 2018 to August 2019, where they were responsible for scientific representation, managing relationships with partners and researchers, and preparing scientific advice for regulatory agencies. Adriana also worked as a Clinical Research Scientist at Insud Pharma from August 2014 to April 2018. Before joining Insud Pharma, they worked at PharmaLex as a Drug Safety Physician from June 2013 to July 2014, where they provided expertise in clinical development and management of adverse reactions in clinical trials. Earlier in their career, they were a Resident in Clinical Pharmacology at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) from May 2009 to May 2013, where they conducted pharmacovigilance activities and managed the FEDRA adverse reaction database. Adriana also has experience as a Medical Support Doctor at SAS Salamanca from 2008 to 2009, a Primary Care Physician at COLSUBSIDIO from 2006 to 2008, and completed medical marketing internships at Lafrancol from February 2006 to February 2007.

Adriana Mantilla MD, PhD has a comprehensive educational background in the field of Pharmacology and Medicine. Adriana began their educational journey in 1999 at Universidad del Rosario, where they obtained a MD Licenciado en Medicina y Cirugía (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) in 2005. This laid the foundation for their medical career.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Adriana pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Gestion y Produccion en Industria Farmaceutica (Management and Production in the Pharmaceutical Industry) at Universidad de Salamanca. Adriana successfully completed this program from 2008 to 2009.

Adriana's passion for Pharmacology led their to obtain a Medical Pharmacologist degree, known as Médico Farmacólogo Clínico, from Hospital Vall d'Hebron. Fundación Instituto Catalán de Farmacología. Adriana completed this program from 2009 to 2013, equipping their with expertise in clinical pharmacology.

Continuing their academic journey, Adriana pursued a Doctor of Pharmacology degree (Doctorado en Farmacología) at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Adriana dedicated four years, from 2011 to 2015, to conducting research and specialized studies in pharmacology, leading to the attainment of a PhD.
