Xavier Vila Ortega

Xavier Vila Ortega is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in resource modeling and estimation within the mining industry. Currently serving as Jefe de Modelamiento at Minsur S.A. since May 2011, Xavier has held various roles including Geólogo Senior de Modelamiento and Geólogo de Modelamiento, focusing on the modeling and estimation of resources in Vetas and Cuerpos using Studio RM, as well as overseeing diamond drilling projects. Xavier began their career as a Geólogo Junior de Modelamiento at Datamine Software, where responsibilities included the application of Datamine Studio 3 for various geological modeling tasks. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Regulation, Management, and Mining Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, a diploma in Geostatistical Estimation of Deposits from Universidad de Chile, and a degree in Geological Engineering from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
