Xin Liu

Xin Liu has a diverse work experience in the field of computer vision and machine learning. Currently, Xin is working as the Chief Computer Vision Scientist at Miovision since November 2022. Prior to this, Xin held the position of Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Compass from August 2021 to October 2022. Before that, Xin worked as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist II at Compass from November 2019 to August 2021, where they designed and implemented deep Convolutional Neural Networks for Image Processing and Computer Vision. Xin also has experience as a Staff Computer Vision and AI Engineer at Futurewei Seattle Research Center from June 2018 to November 2019 and as a Senior Software Engineer - Computer Vision and Machine Learning at Aibee US Corporation from June 2019 to October 2019. Xin's earlier experiences include working as an Analyst III at Maxar Technologies from July 2014 to June 2018 and as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Calgary from September 2007 to June 2014.

Xin Liu earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, from 2007 to 2009. Later, from 2009 to 2013, Xin completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at The University of Calgary.
