Mason Israel

Mason Israel, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of medical science and research. Mason currently serves as the Regional Medical Affairs Director at Mirati Therapeutics, where they lead diagnostics and biomarker field medical activities, particularly in oncology. Prior to this, they worked as a Medical Science Liaison at Foundation Medicine, focusing on targeted therapy decision-making in breast cancer and gastrointestinal malignancies. Mason also has experience as a Senior Medical Science Liaison at Biotheranostics, Inc., where they worked on diagnostics and therapeutic decision-making in early breast cancer. Additionally, they have served as a Medical Science Liaison at Progyny, Inc. Previously, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC San Diego. Mason obtained their PhD in the Biomedical Sciences Program from UC San Diego and has had research experience at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Brown University.

Mason Israel, PhD, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brown University from 1999 to 2003. Continuing their education, they pursued a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from UC San Diego School of Medicine, completing it from 2005 to 2010.
