Kalpana Ramnarayanan

Kalpana Ramnarayanan, PhD, PMP, is a seasoned research scientist with extensive experience in cancer genomics. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Mirxes since July 2022, Kalpana previously held positions at Duke-NUS Medical School as a Senior Research Associate and Research Associate, where significant work included building a comprehensive single-cell atlas of gastric cancer and identifying biomarkers for gastric cancer progression. Additional experience includes a role as a Senior Research Officer at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, focusing on driver gene mutations in gastric adenocarcinomas, and substantial contributions to gene fusion identification in cancers at the University of Michigan and the Genome Institute of Singapore. Kalpana holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the National University of Singapore and is currently pursuing a Project Management certification from the Project Management Institute.
