Ted van Zwol

Chief Information Officer (cio) at Mission Aviation Fellowship

Ted Van Zwol has a diverse and impressive work experience. Ted started their career at Adaptive Health Systems as a Programmer/Analyst, where they developed a nationally distributed product called ADDSCAN. Ted also provided solutions for customers and served as a LAN and Systems Administrator.

Ted then moved on to Boeing as a System Analyst/Programmer, where they played a significant role in designing and delivering the digital media release of Wiring Diagrams and System Schematic manuals for 777 customers. Ted was also responsible for creating data models and acted as the local Excelerator CASE tool expert.

After that, they joined Microsoft Corp. as a Lead Software Development Engineer. Ted made significant contributions to various Visual Studio product lines and other technologies, such as Fusion and Darwin.

In 2003, Ted took on a new challenge and joined Mission Aviation Fellowship as a Pilot/IT Specialist. Ted flew small aircrafts in remote and challenging terrains, providing medical airlift support, famine relief, and other assistance.

Ted returned to Microsoft in 2008 and held various roles, including Senior Software Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineering Manager. Ted led teams in developing products for the Developer Division and Visual Studio, driving successful launches and improving team productivity.

Recently, Ted joined Mission Aviation Fellowship once again, this time as the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Ted Van Zwol attended the University of Puget Sound from 1985 to 1989. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Business. In addition to their major, Ted also completed minors in Mathematics and Economics.
