Rob Metzger

Rob Metzger has over 20 years of experience in finance and investments. In 2016, they joined MissionOG as a General Partner, where they invest financial capital and leverages a broad network of industry experts to help accelerate partner companies. From 2015-2016, they were a Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance and Director of the Investment Banking Academy at the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. From 1999-2016, they were a Senior Director at William Blair, where they held roles such as Head of the Financial Services and Technology groups and served as a partner and managing director for over ten years.

Since 2016, Rob has held board member and observer positions at various companies, including USA Technologies Inc., WageWorks, Venminder, Payroc, North Mountain Merger Corp., and Infinicept. In 2019, they were a board member of South Mountain Merger Corp, which combined with Billtrust in 2021 and is now trading under the name BTRS Holdings, Inc.

Rob Metzger received their Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1989. Rob then went on to receive their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, General from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 1995.
