Lars Barkman is a dedicated software engineering intern at ASM since June 2024 and serves as a lab assistant for the Algorithms and Data Structures course at MIT EECS, where assistance is provided to students and grading rubrics are established in collaboration with professors. As a student consultant for MIT Consulting Group, Lars conducts research and develops solutions to attract and retain biotechnology talent for an economic development organization. In a previous role as a summer programmer at Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Technology Center, an "Assessment for Good" application was created to help students aged 8-13 understand their emotions using modern web technologies. Lars is currently pursuing dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, having previously attended Carnegie Mellon University and Shady Side Academy.
