Emily Persons

Emily Persons, Ph.D., currently serves as the Senior Director of Research & Evaluation at Modern Classrooms Project, a position held since September 2022, following roles as Director and Research & Evaluation Manager. Prior experience includes work as a Research Analyst at Age of Learning, Inc., where responsibilities involved leading quasi-experimental evaluations, collaborating on joint research projects, and producing findings for diverse audiences. At Duke University, Emily completed a Ph.D. in Sociology, focusing on education and inequality, while also providing academic support as a tutor and teaching assistant. Additional roles span from a Management Analyst at the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education to a Race To The Top Fellow at the Hawaii State Department of Education, showcasing a robust background in research, data analysis, and educational policy.
