Charbel Haber is the SVP, Head of Regulatory Affairs at Moderna Therapeutics. Charbel has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

Charbel started their career as a manager in Worldwide Regulatory Affairs for Merck, where they worked for seven years. Charbel then moved to Johns Hopkins University as adjunct faculty before joining MedImmune as Associate Director of Vaccine Regulatory Affairs.

In 2007, Charbel left MedImmune to join PTC Therapeutics as Global Regulatory Affairs Director. Charbel then spent eight years at Novartis, first as Regulatory Affairs Regional Head and then as Executive Director. In 2015, they joined Biogen as VP, Global Safety and Regulatory Sciences. Charbel left Biogen in 2020 to join Moderna Therapeutics.

Charbel Haber earned their MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Charbel then went on to earn their MPH in Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. Finally, they earned their PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.

They are on a team with Tracey Franklin - Chief Human Resources Officer, Juan Andres - Chief Technical Operations & Quality Officer, and Shannon Thyme Klinger - Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary. Their manager is Stéphane Bancel, CEO.
