Josh Smykal

Josh Smykal is the Senior Director of Business Operations at Modernize. Josh has been with the company since July 2020 and in their current role for just over a year. Prior to that, they were the Sr. Director of Strategic Initiatives for just under a year and before that, the Director of Homeowner Outreach for just over a year.

Smykal has been in the home improvement and clean energy industries for over six years. Josh started at Modernize as a Senior National Account Manager in October 2014. In this role, they were responsible for leading the growth of strategic partnerships within the Enterprise Solar and Big-Box Retail verticals. Josh was also an internal SME for solar industry marketing performance analysis and strategic plan development.

In March 2016, Smykal was promoted to National Sales Manager and then to Sr. Manager, Call Marketing in December 2016. Josh held this role until December 2017 when they were promoted to Director of Homeowner Outreach.

Josh Smykal has a degree in business administration from American InterContinental University.
