Dan Micsa

Chief Scientist at ModuleWorks

Dan Micsa has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Dan began their career in 1991 when they founded BillaSoft, where they developed and commercialized their own suite of CAD/CAM/Simulation/PostProcessing called TechnoPack. From 1997 to 2001, they worked as a Principle Analyst Programmer at Pathtrace, designing and implementing efficient libraries for computer-aided manufacturing. Dan then joined VX Corporation in 2001, initially as a Lead Software Engineer and later as a Component Technology Director from 2004 to 2010. During this time, they were responsible for architecting, designing, coding, and providing support and training for Quick Milling, an optimized CAM product. In 2010, they joined ZWSoft as a Chief Scientist until 2012. Since 2012, they have been working as the Chief Scientist at ModuleWorks.

Dan Micsa completed their education at the Universitatea "Politehnica" din Timișoara. Dan obtained a Diplomat Engineer degree in Mecatronics, Manufacturing, and Design from 1986 to 1991. Later, they pursued a PhD and specialized in Programming, Maths, and Manufacturing, completing their studies in 1998.
