Sohail Akhter

VP, Research & Development at Moleaer

Sohail Akhter is the current VP of Research & Development at Moleaer. Sohail has over 25 years of experience in the industry, with a focus on decay and freshness control solutions for post-harvest fruits and vegetables. Prior to joining Moleaer, Sohail was the Director Worldwide R&D and Innovation at Decco Postharvest (a UPL company) from 2014 to 2022. Sohail was also the Head of Avery Dennison's Global Innovation Center in Pune, India from 2010 to 2014, where they were responsible for developing pressure sensitive label products and printable coatings. Sohail began their career in 1993 as a Manager of Strategic Technical Planning at Brady Corporation. Throughout their career, Sohail has been responsible for technical planning for growth through innovation platforms. Under their leadership, Moleaer is continuing to develop cutting-edge technologies to improve the quality of food and extend its shelf life.

Sohail Akhter has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, and an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Louisville.

They work with Mario Mondo - Director, Global Services, Chris Stephan - Director, Sales, Americas, and Warren Russell - Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer. Their manager is Nick Dyner, CEO.
