Kenneth Mundus Seistrup has a diverse work experience in the field of cellular microbiology and scientific research. Kenneth Mundus worked as an Application Scientist at Molecular Devices, specializing in Cellular Imaging. In this role, they demonstrated expertise in various imaging systems and portfolio products. Prior to that, they served as a Post Graduate Researcher at Newcastle University, where they pursued their PhD in cellular microbiology. Their research focused on the interplay between membrane potential, membrane fluidity, and the bacterial cytoskeleton. Kenneth Mundus also worked on developing a model for the mode of action of membrane-targeting antimicrobials. Kenneth has also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern Denmark, where they were responsible for laboratory work, RNA analysis, writing scientific papers, and teaching students lab techniques. Previously, they served as a Teaching Assistant at the same university, where they conducted practical and theoretical classes, developed course material, and assessed student assignments.
Kenneth Mundus Seistrup began their education journey in 2006 at Odense Tekniske Gymnasium, where they completed their high school studies in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Kenneth Mundus then proceeded to Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 2009 to 2012.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Kenneth pursued further academic advancement and enrolled in Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark once again, this time for a Master's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, which they successfully obtained from 2012 to 2015.
Motivated to delve deeper into their field of interest, Kenneth joined Newcastle University in 2015 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Cell/Cellular Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Kenneth Mundus dedicated four years to their doctoral studies and successfully obtained their Ph.D. in 2019.
Apart from their formal academic education, Kenneth also holds additional certifications. Kenneth Mundus received accreditation in Laboratories for Technical Measurements (EN ISO/IEC 17025; ISO 9001) from the University of Southern Denmark, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided. Kenneth Mundus also completed a certification in Laboratory Animal Science from the same institution, although the timing of this certification is unspecified as well.
