Theresa Baker has worked in the biotech industry since 2006. Theresa began their career at EMD Serono as a Temp performing tissue culture and numerous cell-based assays. From 2007 to 2010, they worked at Acceleron Pharma as a Research Assistant, where they developed stable CHO cell lines for manufacturing and in-house protein production, performed and amplified gene expression in stable transfections in CHO cells, and adapted CHO cell lines to serum-free suspension. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at Aileron Therapeutics as a Senior Research Assistant, performing lysis, viability, and mechanism of action cell-based assays with various human cancer cell lines, as well as tissue culture with various human cancer cell lines. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as an Associate Scientist and Senior Associate Scientist, where they developed and optimized activation assay for screening compounds through primary cells for I-O project, developed and optimized validation assays in primary cells for I-O project, and performed viability and mechanism of action cell-based assays with various cancer cell lines for targeted therapy project. From 2016 to 2017, they worked at Takeda/ARIAD Pharmaceuticals Legacy as a Research Scientist, where they developed and optimized OT-I proliferation ex vivo screening assay for AlphaLISA for I-O project, assisted in validation of efficacy models for in vivo studies for I-O project, and performed immune cell activation assays using primary cells for I-O project. Theresa currently works at MOMA Therapeutics as a Scientist I.
Theresa Baker began their educational journey at Vermont Technical College, where they earned an Associates degree in Computer Engineering between 2003 and 2005. Theresa then continued their studies at Northeastern University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in 2009.
