Thanh Tran

Thanh Tran has extensive work experience in the field of data science. Currently, they hold the position of Data Science Director at MoMo (M_Service), where they focus on building AI-powered products for Growth, Discovery, Ads, as well as platforms for MLOps and Experimentation. Additionally, they prioritize building and leading a high-performing team. Prior to their current role, Thanh worked as the Senior Manager of Data Science at VNG Corporation from 2020 to 2021.

Before joining VNG Corporation, Thanh spent several years at LinkedIn, where they held the positions of Staff Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist. During their time at LinkedIn, they contributed to various projects and played a key role in data science initiatives. Thanh also has experience working at Twitter as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist, where they contributed to data-driven projects and provided insights using their expertise in data science.

In the earlier stages of their career, Thanh worked as a Research Assistant at UMass Amherst, where they conducted research and contributed to publications. Thanh also gained valuable experience as a Research Intern at AT&T Labs, Inc.

Thanh Tran completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Software Engineering from the University of Melbourne between 2002 and 2005. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2006 to 2013. Additionally, in September 2021, they obtained a certification in Google UX Design Specialization from Coursera.
