Gus Puryear

Gus Puryear currently serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Monogram Health, a role held since August 2025. Puryear has been a Board Director at Truxton Trust Company since 2006 and previously held various senior positions at Asurion from 2010 to 2025, including Senior Vice President and General Counsel, as well as General Counsel and Chief Human Resources Officer from 2014 to 2021. Prior roles include Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Corrections Corporation of America (2001-2010) and Legislative Director and Counsel for US Senator Bill Frist (1998-2001). Puryear has also contributed as a Debate Advisor for Bush-Cheney, Inc. and served in roles at the US Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs and Farris Warfield & Kanaday. Puryear earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) summa cum laude from Emory University.
