Claire Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Claire started their career in 1997 as a Business Customer Service Representative at The Cooperative Bank. From there, they worked in various temporary assignments, primarily in customer service and HR administration roles. In 1999, they joined Thomson Prometric, where they progressed from an HR Assistant to an HR Manager for Europe. In 2005, they joined Verizon Business as a Human Resources Business Partner, acting as a Trusted Advisor to international clients. In 2010, they transitioned to Thomson Reuters, where they held various HR roles, including VP of Human Resources for the IP Solutions business in EMEA. In 2016, they joined Clarivate Analytics as the VP of HR, leading the HR Business Partner team and spearheading the HR workstream for the sale and separation of the IP & Science business. Currently, Claire is the Chief Human Capital Officer at Monster and the Global HR Lead for EMEA at Randstad Enterprise. Claire has significant experience in strategic HR leadership, business partnering, and managing HR professionals to support business growth and success.
Claire Barnes completed their Senior Executive Program at INSEAD in 2022-2023. Claire obtained a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University in 1999-2002 and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of Salford in 1994-1997. Claire also holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University. Additional certifications include "Leading Transformation in the Digital Age" from London Business School. Claire is also a member of CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
