Jon Raasch has a diverse work experience in web design, development, and UX engineering. Jon started their career as a Designer/Programmer for the Drexler Family and later worked as a Math Tutor/Web Developer at Jonathan Education Center. Jon then joined Precision Systems as a Sr. Developer before transitioning to a Frontend Web Developer role at neur.us.

In 2008, Jon established their own consulting business, Jon Raasch Web Design and Development, where they provided holistic hands-on expertise and management consulting for various companies, including Nike and Paramount. During this time, they developed skills in web and mobile application development, UX design, SEO, and design systems engineering.

Jon was also a Subject Matter Expert at Capella Education Company, guiding the creation of an online course in frontend web development. Jon further showcased their expertise as an author for John Wiley and Sons, writing four books on web application development and serving as a Technical Editor.

From 2010 to 2018, Jon worked at Smashing Magazine as a Writer and Technical Reviewer, covering topics such as web performance optimization and contemporary JavaScript techniques. Jon then joined YouCaring as a Team Lead, where they led the tech and UX transformation through mobile-first methodology and design systems, established coding standards, and optimized page speed.

Currently, Jon Raasch holds the position of VP UX Engineering at Monster, where they are responsible for leading an integrated design-development organization, strategic vision, innovation, and governance for the omni-channel UX ecosystem. Jon also serves as the enterprise architect for platform horizontals such as SEO, marcom, and analytics.

Jon Raasch received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Chicago in 2004. In 1999, they briefly studied Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts.
